How much does an eye test cost?
An eye test with us is $89.
Buy your glasses here and we bulk bill it, so there's nothing to pay for the test itself.
Just want the test? That's fine too. It's $89 and you'll walk out with your prescription to use wherever you like.
Appointments run 30 minutes with an AHPRA-registered optometrist.
What's in an eye test?
Two things happen in an eye test. We work out your prescription, and we check the health of your eyes. The second part is the one people forget about, and it's why we'd rather see you every two years than only when your vision goes fuzzy.
Most eye conditions come on slowly and without symptoms, so what matters is having a record to compare against. That's how change gets spotted early, while there's still something to be done about it. Cataracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration and diabetic eye disease are all part of what we look for.
We've also got retinal photography and visual field testing in-store. Whether you need either is the optometrist's call on the day, based on what they find and your history.
We'll talk you through all of it, in plain English.
Then comes the fun part
Once your prescription is sorted, it's time for a proper try-on session.
Justine and the team pick out frames for your face and your personality, and you try on as many as you like. Tell us what you love and what you'd never dare wear. We'll probably hand you a pair you'd never have picked yourself.

How long until my glasses are ready?
Usually 5 to 10 working days. Specialist lenses take longer and we'll tell you upfront if yours will.
We're quicker than most because we trace your frame in-store and send the measurements straight to Shamir's lab in Brisbane. Your lenses start being cut immediately, instead of waiting for the frame to travel across the country.
And yes, we test children, though most of our customers are grown-ups.
