What if I just want the frames?
No problem! After adding the frames to your cart, select ‘clear lenses’. We can supply your frames with clear lenses. OR, if you would prefer to have them with no lenses at all, just tell us this in the special instructions area of the shopping cart page.
How should I clean my lenses?
Warm water and some gentle soap will do the trick, or a damp piece of tissue. (Don’t use hot water, as it may damage the lens materials). If your specs include wood or bamboo, you need to take care not to get these materials wet.
What are the numbered frame measurements?
All glasses have three numbers printed inside the temple/arm – the first number is the width of the lens, the second is the width of the bridge, and the third is the length of the temple/arm (all in millimetres).
They are often written like this 52☐16☐140 or this 52☐16 - 140
Check some old specs that are comfortable so that you can shop for a new pair of a similar size.
How do the 'Fit' sizes work?
We take the total measurement across the front of the frame (in the example above this would be 52+16+52=120mm. We then categorise our glasses frames like this:
Narrow: 110mm - 116mm
Medium: 117mm - 123mm
Wide: 124mm - 130mm
Extra Wide: 131mm +
What if the glasses don’t fit me?
If you need a small adjustment, acetate can be adjusted by heating it with a hairdryer and gently moving it into position. Alternatively, you may wish to have a local Optometrist make an adjustment. We'd also be happy to make adjustments for you at our Fremantle retail outlet.
If the glasses are simply the wrong size for your face, email the lovely customer care team at Naked Specs within 30 days of receiving your specs to arrange for them to be returned (check our Returns Policy for all the details).
